Whoof! That electric snowblower was the best $200 I ever spent.

Between a foot and a foot-and-a-half of snow fell on Kitchener last night.

There is no war on the car. There is, however, a war on the people who live in cities.

Right at the corner of Parkside and Howard Park.

No one with power was serious about protecting pedestrians here. There were years to fix Parkside Drive before Ford made it nearly impossible.
Pedestrian struck by motorist on Parkside a block from the speed camera that vigilantes kept tearing down that caused ford to remove them from all Ontario. Drive as you wish Ontario. Nobody matters. This is what you voted for.

One of our crew may have had a small hand in this 😉
We had an incredible Streetcar Summit on Sunday! Thank you to the over 200 people who joined us to share their experiences riding the streetcar and what needs to be done to improve the system.

This is just the beginning! Stay tuned for our push for the world-class streetcar system we deserve 🚋✨

speaking as a Canadian, I am not a fucking American, because *in English* the standard definition of "American" is "a person of the United States of America"

i challenge anyone who says "everyone from North and South America are Americans" to extend that logic and call Irish people British, to see the results of words having different meanings in different languages

If you like classic footage of Toronto streetcars, you'll like this link. This is some classic footage Richard Glaze shot of the Queen streetcar in snow between 1969 and 1976. I love how it all came together. You can practically hear the snow shushing the city. Check it out: youtu.be/RPoeU01rP28

Even with two weekend trains, on a November day with on-and-off lousy weather, it's still not enough.
This is part of the line at Bramalea for the GO bus to KW, enough for two full scheduled buses plus an extra one. We need a lot more than two trains a day on the weekend lol

Great to see @mikeschreiner.bsky.social on the platform, even if it wasn't to ride, but just to say hi and see the turnout. Thanks for your part in the fight Mike, the pent-up demand shown today makes a good precedent and proxy!
Wow, big crowd out here in Guelph for the first weekend train. Lots of happy commuters and families going to Toronto for the day.

Thanks to everyone who pushed to convince Metrolinx that there is demand for weekend service.

Imagine trying to settle a property dispute by talking only to the intruder. That's the logic here. The Trump/Putin proposal is an attempt to impose terms on a country under attack leaving the defending nation out of the room. Peace cannot be done to Ukraine; it must be done with Ukraine.

Okay.
One thing is for sure: Trump has never looked at Andy Ogles like this

How’s all that Zohran deportation talk going Andy?

This is why nobody takes you seriously, and your own party recruited Charlie Hatcher to run against you.

This is the wrong question. It is absolutely clear that Canada should *not* purchase F-35s. The proper question is, what are our contractual *obligations*, and has the U.S. violated that contract (in the sense of, for example, installing remote kill switches) such that we can legally buy *none*.

Not satisfied with just destroying their own brand goodwill, OS companies are now using AI to try to destroy the good names of the apps users install. (Scrivener taking out adds to explain how it has no AI but Apple adds some anyway.)

Unlike most apps these days, Scrivener does not use AI in any way. However, if you’re on a Mac, you may see an AI prompt.
