Rich eating, lefty. I'm correct about everything.

With bylines from people who spent the last 6 months writing about how important it was to defeat Mamdani.
How many think-pieces will there be tomorrow basically saying, "Uh, actually, this is only relevant to NY City. It's says nothing about the rest of country"?
It's so mind boggling. His biggest issues for affordable housing and child care. Are they suggesting "red state" votes don't want that stuff?

Watch my supercut of things Mike Johnson doesn’t know. You can see the whole show here: www.youtube.com/live/Ams4OLn...
Others have made similar comments, but assuming Puerto Rico would vote Democrat is a huge stretch. Maybe in some Rep races, but island-wide is not assured.
It's maddening. He could... not say ANYTHING. I've seen him evade answering questions with great skill, so the anti-trans messaging is a choice. Like Newsom, he's trash.
People can spout "purity test" all they want, but that's bullshit.

It's a very base principle to NOT allow discrimination for ANYONE. If you make the choice to add any exceptions to that, you won't ever get my vote. Period. Full stop.

Newsom has already crossed that very basic line.
Did that "Deciding to Win" trash just epically fail? Have seen no mentions since the initial one after release. Good good.
He's making a calculated choice to buy into the right wing framing. There's a way to deflect or ignore the questioning, but I think he truly believes this shit and sees nothing wrong. He is trash.
In researching the origins of "bathroom bills" I came across the absolute piece of shit that is John Kavanagh. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Ka...

Some highlights:
* Wanted to let businesses not have disability access
* Wanted to remove Sikh man from a 9/11 memorial
* No filming cops, even in public
5. Republicans focused on "trans issue" in Houston, and had HERO overturned
6. Repubs realized without the ability to fearmonger about gay rights, they needed a new target... and used the playbook used in Houston.
7. Oct 2025 - Dems who lose elections say we should abandon trans people. #transrights
The TLDR is...
1. June 2013 - The Windsor case overturned DOMA
2. May 2014 - Houston passes "equal right ordinance" for all, not just trans people
3. June 2015 - Obergefell made gay marriage legal nationwide
4. July 2015 - TX Sup Court said Houston's ordinance should be put to a vote
Jesus hates everyone standing here.
Mike Johnson: "Every executive action signed by the autopen without written authorization should be voided ... including all the pardons that he signed."
So many responses are providing a reasonable response to this. I hope you read them and don't immediately get defensive.

1. "official" Dem messaging is wildly centrist.
2. The lefty "perception" is manufactured by the right, and you and others bought into it.
3. It's ok to support trans people.

Any candidate who wants my vote needs to state that they unequivocally support trans people's right to exist in peace. This is not a big ask.
This whole thing is infuriating. It's like someone only watched Fox News and updated the Dem platform based only on that. Sure, people said Clinton was "too liberal"... but anyone who knows stuff, sees that she's about as centrist policy-wise as they come.
Weirdly, no "Yglesias" mentioned.
The list of acknowledgements... whooboy.

How do these ignoramuses not realize you "win" but having principles and advocating for them? That's how Republicans win, they just happen to have really shitty principles.

Be authentic. Don't run polls to find out what you should believe in.
How difficult would it be to get Sam Elliot to voice over "Mike Johnson must think you're stupid. The Repubs control all 3 branches of the govt and still can't get things done", etc? And flood TV ad buys, even FoxNews.

There's gotta be some Dem billionaires out there who could fund that right?
