This is do-able and would fix a LOT of problems. Far more realistic than trying to cover the Constitution in wite-out
Easiest fix: expand the House. Then the # of electoral votes for each state would be more in proportion with their population.

@kaine.senate.gov Please, Senator, rethink your vote to end the shutdown. Virginians stood strong last week & they need you to do the same now. Republicans won’t vote to extend the subsidies - they’ve said as much (esp. those in the House) - so we need you to keep your foot on the gas with us.

These were Senators at the end of their careers or close who live in the old world where you worked collegially with others. That’s not today and they all need to go because they aren’t built for the new Senate. I wish it weren’t this way, but welcome to 2025.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

We saw this same issue — voting day bomb threats — in 2024. Motive could be strategic voter suppression, but in 2024 it was likely foreign interference designed to cause mayhem and further erode trust in US election. These tactics can also provide pretext for contesting elections later.
