Got through the inauguration block party security checkpoint just in time to watch Mayor Zohran Mamdani give his inaugural address on the Jumbotron. Nearly froze to death but it was great being with my fellow New Yorkers who are excited for change.

Kinda funny thing happening on Facebook right now. After midnight, it had appeared Mamdani's team was transitioning Mayor Eric Adams' page and put up pics of Z. But then Adams appeared to have wrestled back control and now has his profile picture back.

As we in NYC say goodbye to Mayor Eric Adams tonight, my only regret is that SNL did not have Chris Redd doing his impression of Adams on the show at least once a month. He perfectly captured Adams' chaos goblin energy, and I'm a little salty we didn't get more of it.

Here in Delaware we have a statue of Thomas Garrett, a white man found guilty of obstructing the recapture of fugitives from slavery – ordered to pay damages to the point of ruin for it.
We don't, to my knowledge, have any statues celebrating the judges or jury members who found him guilty.

I’m so tired of postmortems on the 2024 election. The reason we lose is America is steeped in propaganda. Our news sources are overwhelmingly right wing. People vote based on lies. Dems have always had the right message but no echo chamber. Fix that and we can send the Nazis back to hell.
