We need to call them witnesses, not observers.
Witness Tampering is a federal & state felony. (MN Stat. § 609.498 -Tampering With a Witness)
Prosecutors don’t need to prove the underlying crime happened - only that someone tried to threaten, influence, intimidate, or retaliate against a witness.
