In general I think this incarnation of Trek is turning out to be a little *over*burdened by lore continuity in a way that Discovery post-time-skip simply did not bother itself with. I hope they find a middle path quick.

The Klingon debate episode was better. I feel like there was probably a better way to explain Klingon (anti-)social cues than to have Commander Exposition explain it, but hopefully that's because they are in fact setting up more of a relationship between those two characters for later.
Just finished episode 1 of starfleet academy.
It felt a lot like the section 31 movie. Has that same too-action-thrillery quippy pacing.
The San Francisco final scene payoff was weird.
It is a bit more star trek than section 31, so I'm willing to give it a chance. But it's on thin ice.

Given the court seems willing to at least hold people in contempt over non-compliance, what would it take to get a specific order for, let's say, local police to take over an ICE detention center, detain ICE agents who resist, and compel compliance? Is such even possible under our current rules?
