When asked if she’d write a book, former AHS CEO Athana Mentzelopoulos said the challenge is that a book has to be believable—"and there's just so much that has happened that is unbelievable."

She makes it sound so reasonable. Go back to those pastoral days when grassroots organizations based on faith would take care of the vulnerable like the sick, the old, the disabled and orphans. Why wouldn’t that work?

Smith finally said it out loud...

She doesn't believe that government should be providing any services to Albertans, she believes that private companies should be used universally to provide services.

Faith groups should take care of the vulnerable.

Faith & charity based social services are piecemeal and exclusionary. Leads to greater overall public expense and more bankruptcies. There is very little oversight of them and a great deal is diverted/stolen . TM. Johnson, GA Zurlo & AW Hickman (2015) EMBEZZLEMENT INTHE GLOBAL CHRISTIAN Community

The one thing the UCP and Danielle Smith do well (& diabolically) is flood the zone. They always throw red meat to their base weekly. Eg. abolishing speed cameras, punching down on trans kids or otherly abled people, approving coal mines or increasing hunting of wildlife, privatizing healthcare etc

Even through I'm not connected to the recalls in a capacity, they have become my focus
Because recalling these MLAs can stop this nightmare

So bit by bit I'll be posting websites and links for places to sign

How do you stand up and speak with tears in your eyes about the difficulties of transsexual people and then a decade later take away the charter rights of those same people to feed raw meat to her base

“Premier Danielle Smith …have publicly warned that recall legislation should be used only in cases of serious misconduct or ethical breaches, not general political grievances.”

It’s your legislation. If that’s what you intended , you should have written it that way. Incompetent or sour grapes much?
There are multiple signature collecting events happening today, Nov. 15, in Airdrie and Calgary to recall Angela D. Pitt and Demetrios Nicolaides, respectively. Citizens of Airdrie-East and Calgary-Bow, visit Operation Totall Recall to learn more. #ableg #abpoli #yyc

Necessary but also good economics. The energy transition is in full swing. Look at investment capital in clean energy, rapidly rising and now double fossil fuel investments. It’s like hanging on to your landline or driving a horse & buggy

So the UCP believes in direct democracy if the there are guarantees of the required number of signatures? What kind of guarantee?
#ableg #abpoli
“Nolan Dyck, the United Conservative legislature member who put forward the reduced funding amount, said he didn’t think the government should provide more money to help McClure’s office handle the recalls, as there are no guarantees that either will get enough signatures.”
Wtf ?
The UCP enthusiastically passed recall legislation, but now that it is mostly being used against them, they are declining to fund it. #ableg
