Such social media companies are not, and have never been, a “public forum”. They are privately owned networks that have a single priority: harvesting profits. Primarily from selling their users’ information to those who which to target them. Everything else is secondary.

Musk has been instrumentalising Twitter/X to feed reactionary politics and its concomitant disinformation networks for the past two years. Staying there gives tacit consent to that destructive project. And yet so many institutions, politicians, broadcasters & companies remain there, morally inert.

Passionate in her beliefs. Fiercely loyal to her friends. Never afraid to let you know exactly where she stood. The best.

Fun Fact: I remember arguing with her over which of us hated Piggy the most. I was sure I did. She disagreed. It remains unresolved...
Carrie Fisher was the blueprint.

Okay, I have to rant about this. Why don’t characters in crime fiction movies have intruder alarms installed in their house or offices? Every plot has someone breaking into a property with no alarm which becomes the turning moment in the story. Have script writers never heard of burglar alarms??

Hmm. This report collects up quotes from all the usual suspects on the Irish side, but it is the quotes from abroad that are new.

But it conflates increased spending on domestic defence (necessary) as hampered by neutrality.
