Russia has long had the ability to listen in on most forms of its citizens' communications, but very notable that they are blocking two genuinely E2E encrypted apps (WhatsApp and FB Messenger) to force people onto a national, overtly backdoored WeChat-style app.
No official report out yet, but users are reporting that Facebook and Instagram are now down too in Russia
Russia has permanently blocked YouTube yesterday and WhatsApp today

By me: Microsoft has fixed three zero-day bugs in Windows and Office that are being actively abused by hackers to break into people's computers. Microsoft said three of the exploits are now public.

Google, which helped find the bugs, said one of them is under “widespread, active exploitation."

It's #112Day, we want to raise awareness that in Ireland and Europe you can diall 112 for the emergency services

In Ireland, you can also use 999

Take the time tomorrow on the school run to ask your children what the number is to call for help. A lot of them will say 911.

Ha, this reminds me of back in the good old days on Twitter there was a cybersquirrel acc which posted news about power outages & other issues on critical infra caused by rodents, squirrels etc. It aligned with reports that hackers caused less damage to CNI than rodents did :)
