The US government most certainly won't be promoting any kind of positive public health policies in the foreseeable future.

Asking folk to protect others by masking should resonate with folks who aren't inherently sociopathic.

The French government is asking us to mask up. In ads everywhere we are asked to protect others from potentially getting infected by whatever we might carry.

This is one* reason why I like living here. They ask us to protect not ourselves but others.

A heartbreaking read, and hits so close to home, my kids’ are also going thru this in the US. Teen tried going back to in-person school at one point, was physically bullied for masking, he tried but ended up back in homeschool. Just last week we were harassed by a man screaming at us. It’s brutal. 💔

Where did I take a “dig” at the vaccines? By saying it’s not a sterilizing vaccine?? That’s not a dig, that is a fact. I wish they were. Hope we get one sometime very soon. Why can’t ppl do both? I do both and know tons of ppl who do, it’s not hard. At all. If more ppl masked there’d be less spread.

I don’t think I’ve ever come across someone who is pro-mask and anti-vax. I’m certainly not if that’s what you’re inferring. Everyone being vaccinated would be great, but clearly that will never happen, plus it would have to be with vaccines that actually stop transmission which we don’t have yet
