Never lost a fight to a leopard.
There is no weirder Thanksgiving feeling than celebrating a cowboys win.

Helmet to helmet and landing on his with body weight. It's so cool that that's either a crushing sack or a 15 yard penalty depending on the ref.

If you're going to run a deep reverse like that, you need to your wr to be able to throw it away

Did someone start advertising a fake beer company during football as a prank?

If "these people are just extremely weird" they would have been drummed out a long time ago. Instead they keep being protected and rewarded.
I think plenty of it speaks to the state of the media, but an obvious one is that Vox and Vanity Fair barely investigated her and that she managed to commit an unforgivable journalistic crime before getting a book deal and walking into another prestige job, while plenty of others are being laid off
you know, what if they aren't actually a commentary on journalism or the state of media. what if these people are just extremely weird

The Avs are up 5-0 and not one player has 2 points.
🚨JOEL KIVIRANTA!

He scores in his return to the lineup, immediately after Askarov was pulled for Nedeljkovic, and Colorado’s now pouring it on!

5-0 Colorado!

There is nothing like seeing your first nba game from close seats to make you wonder just how we're the same species.
At my first NBA game with @germangaryoak.bsky.social! I can't wait for the first touchdown!

I'm pretty sure I just heard the broadcasters mention that the betting odds were 2 to 1 for something that has a 1 in 4 chance of happening.

So not only does in game betting suck, but holy shit these are rigged odds.

You can't do "real America" shit and use a millionaire Harvard professor as your good guy.

Its really amazing that Trump is failing at the VIP gladhanding part of running the government. That should be right in line with his entertainment/hospitality background. And the part he likes doing.
PUNCHBOWL: “.. GOP members messaged us over the weekend saying that they, too, are considering retiring in the middle of the term. Here’s one particularly exercised senior House Republican:

This shit is embarrassing in the US where something less than 50 years old can be ancient.

In Europe, where they have actual history it's somehow worse.
'Responding to the decision, Devine, 80, said: “In principle I am opposed to changing historic artefacts to suit today’s tastes. To do so is presentism, imposing 20th-century values on those of the distant past.'

'20th-century'? Bit of an own goal Sir T.
Historian attacks ‘ludicrous’ changes to statues with slavery links
Professor Sir Tom Devine, an emeritus professor at Edinburgh University, said he was opposed to changing artefacts to suit modern sensibilities

Its a weird feeling to be mad about the refs correcting themselves and getting a call right, but doing it in a way they're not supposed to.

Anyone who says things like "big cities would control elections" is either dumb or arguing in based faith.

That's already the way it is, just in very specific states. All that nationalizing it does is expand the playing field to everywhere.
People who advocate for electing the president by popular really are saying that federalism shouldn't matter - largely because they like the way that big cities would control elections. (For now.) This is dumb, especially now, when federalism has been a godsend.
A thread.

Occams razor is more appropriate.

Which is simpler: 1) a guy spends his life saying x, lies saying not x to get a job overseeing x, uses that job to continue his lifes work on x.

Or 2) all of the above, plus an accident by someone under his control slips through and advances the cause of x.
Sorry, colleague; here's Hanlon's Razor yet again:

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity"

It continues to amaze me that people have decided Heinlein was a fascist based on this one book. He also won Hugos for space libertarian polycules rebelling against the prison industrial complex and about the deep power of empathy.

His politics were all over the place.
Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino "also revered Starship Troopers, Robert Heinlein's 1959 military sci-fi classic about an interstellar war between humans and alien bugs - a book his sister says he still reads to this day."
An endless amount of deranged details in this interview with Greg Bovino's sister, but most notably that his uncle produced the Jack Nicholson movie The Border and the depiction of the agent as corrupt radicalized him as a 12-yr-old.

"Since then, he was like, 'Dude, I want to do Border Patrol.'"

A doctor said it wasn't a worm? I wonder if he ever corrected his testimony about not paying support to his ex.
“Baby, don’t worry,” he said. “It’s not a worm.”
