Apropos last repost, another sleight of hand that gen ai proponents like Miller engage in is suggesting gen ai is like photography. NO.

In the past, I mentioned how they’re conflating perception with process to obscure gen ai being theft & labor exploitation and to alter what “photography” means.

They’re using a perception parallel as a process parallel. As photography was a technological shift some ppl didn’t like then and gen ai is one many loathe now, they claim writing prompts in a theft machine is equal to study, composing, creating & developing/post-processing photographs.

“It’s not going anywhere” is a cop out for gen ai. Choices are being made. Name the companies. Name the choices. Name the targets. Name the consequences.

This idea that it’s naturally occurring and everyone is helpless, as if it’s not daily choices made by billionaires is dishonest and insulting.

I had a ton of fun writing a bounty for Huckleberry and I highly recommend checking out the full game. It has dramatic showdowns, cursed magic, and you get to be wild west bounty hunters.
