It is truly insane to me that our system has the means to end this insanity but the people who can effect it refuse to…even though we are now at a point where in cannot possibly be in their own interest to keep supporting this shitshow

Wut?

“They defend totalitarianism regimes against our nation’s own security and interests. Pure evil.”

He is saying that while commending trump.

5. I have no respect for Donald Trump. He diminishes everything he touches. But focusing on him right now is like being bitten by your neighbor’s unleashed, unfenced rabid dog and focusing on the dog. If we don’t hold his enablers to account we’re going to keep getting bit.

That right there says it all. It is NOT an action to arrest a criminal. It is a takeover of a sovereign nation not unlike Hitler invading European and North African countries. Or China invading Korea. Or Iraq invading Kuwait. All things we fought wars to counter.
FOX & FRIENDS: What do you think is next for the Venezuelan people now that you have removed Maduro so he can face American justice?

TRUMP: Well, we're making that decision now. We can't take a chance on letting somebody else run it, just take over where he left off. So we're making that decision

It's like the tan suit. Anything slightly different from their status quo is fine for them & "oh, the horror!" for any they don't like, ESPECIALLY POC.
There are Islamists just as there are christofascists, have been Crusaders, Spanish inquisition, Holocaust...
Qu'ran & bible both have 👺stuff.
Strange takes on Mayor Zamdani swearing his oath on the Qu’ran. It has nothing to do with church & state. The point of the oath is for the person swearing in to do so upon some text that is sacred TO THEM. Some Presidents swore in w/o any book. John Quincy Adams was sworn on a law book. His choice.

This is a HUGE State's Rights issue. It is clear in the Constitution. No fuzz on it. SCOTUS got it right, except for two seditionists. It seems someone convinced him they got it right, but now someone needs to beat him over the head with Posse Comitatus
He means the regular Army & Marines
The SCOTUS ruling said use Nat Guard only if regular forces can't handle. That's why they got called up for VN, Iraq, Afghanistan
He was claiming "regular" meant local police.
They can be called BY THE GOVERNOR to augment locals in riot or natural disaster issues⤵️

Working on a timeline of American History for a friend studying for the citizenship test. Including centuries of enslavement and abuse of Africans and genocide of Native Americans. Came across this article on the Indian Removal Act, signed by Trump's favorite POTUS.

Both bills passed both houses by voice vote. That means broad bipartisan support. Both sponsored by Repubs.

I guess Democrats in Congress aren't filing impeachment papers left and right for all the criming and abuse because they don't want to be seen as gesturing impotently.

The problem is that not doing so looks like impotence without even at least the gesturing.
