Tweets by Roger Gagne, in the Petro-State of Alberta. Founder of Climate Plan Alberta. My old hobby was advocating for a price on pollution via carbon tax. Because of both climate crisis and the accelerating energy transition, we've got to get off fossils.
What's up with #Canada ? We championed this Treaty and signed it early. Now it's time to ratify and, what? Canada's gone fishing? Step up, @mark-carney.bsky.social @juliedabrusin.bsky.social ! @iisd.org
Last Friday we officially reached 60 ratifications of the #HighSeasTreaty, the number needed for this landmark Agreement to enter into force. 🌍💙

Huge thanks to everyone who helped make this possible, from governments to civil society, advocates, scientists, Indigenous Peoples, youth, and more.
