(I’ve just done the meal planning and grocery order for the week, so it’s on my mind).
carorolyn.bsky.social
Hmm. From memory, they put the meal descriptions online every week. I don’t even really need a recipe, just a description of the meal … hmm ….
carorolyn.bsky.social
I would honestly pay someone (a bit) to do the dinner planning for the week. I find it the hardest part of the whole thing.

Oh my god what have I called into being. I had the legs for those in the 80s. Not so much, now. I do like the utility one tho ..

If I'm going to have to relive the 80s, can we have the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere from then too? Plus bubble skirts.

Timothée Chalamet
Has a name meriting
Endless design

Much like his forerunner
Benedict Cumberbatch:
Hexasyllabically,
Easy to rhyme
tweet from childish branzino @absflora:
timothée chalamet is the new benedict cumberbatch in the sense that you can say ANYTHING and we know who you mean. tiffany chevrolet. timpanogos charlemagne. symphony cabernet. jiminy castaway.

Ah, I see, and yes, that makes sense. It's a cherry-picked study and not solid science.

So much of the medical decision-making in the USA is predicated on insurance/coverage, I wonder how much that affects the outcomes in studies like this. It'd be interesting to compare rates in socialised-healthcare countries. (FTR I don't believe there's a causative relationship).

My dad told me about Ada Lovelace and Grace Hopper to encourage me to do maths and sciences at school. Now, nearly 30 years into my IT career, I am so glad he did.

This is Ada Lovelace, daughter of Lord Byron and considered to be the first person to write a computer programme which was for Babbage's Analytical Machine. She died in 1842
In her honour, today is Ada Lovelace Day and is all about encouraging women and girls in mathematics, science and engineering.

Also they’re only the ones on the benefits. There are lots of us who are short of work but aren’t on the dole.

Yep, I swear by the BRAT diet to get my digestive system back under control: bananas, rice, apples and toast.

(Bracing myself for cancellation). Canned spaghetti on homemade pizza. With pineapple. I use the excuse that my kids like it but actually they don’t.

I just saw someone use the abbreviation “AI;DR” and I’ll be laughing for a while.

Generally raw? I’d chuck them in a stir fry briefly if I was doing one. But I’d usually just eat them with a bunch of other raw veg (carrots etc). (Frankly half the ones I grow don’t even make it up to the house from the garden).

Uh well this one just goes chomp chomp gone. Are there other ways??

In honor of National Poetry Day, the greatest parody rewrite of all time:
Screen cap of parodic version of William Blake's "The Tyger" that begins:
Tyger! Tyger! Burning bright
(Not sure if I spelled that right)
What immortal hand or eye
Could fashion such a stripy guy?
What the hammer that hath hewn it
Into such a chonky unit?
Did who made the lamb make thee,
Or an external franchisee?

Same. Today is baking, cleaning, then back to hibernation. I feel like a bear coming out of its winter cave, looking around, and saying to itself nah I’ll give it another week.
