I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video.

I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.

But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

What’s your local district? I’m in southwest corner of Chesco, which is more Republican. Worked the polls and seemed while D turnout was good so was R. But so was independent.

I just watched a mayor-elect in my state defy an authoritarian at the height of his institutional power—with Congress and the court behind him.

I watched him deliver a full-throated defense of transgender Americans and immigrants and declare in no uncertain terms that he is a democratic socialist.

My husband’s best friend voted straight dem for the first time ever (45 years of voting). Said the difference was negligible until now. (It shouldn’t have been but 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Hopefully people are fed up. And you have to vote EVERY ELECTION. Local matters and it leads to state and federal. The republicans figured that out decades ago. They contest dog catcher if it’s on the ballot.

Turnout in my little precinct in PA seemed as high as last November. We were busy my whole shift. And it was only local offices and judges.

Worked the polls tonight in my PA precinct today. It’s a pretty R precinct and you would not believe the # of people (always Republicans) who come in throw their licenses on the table. It’s their little act of defiance because our SC knocked down voter ID requirements years ago.

In a way, I find the authoritarian takeover of our media system even more disturbing than the authoritarian takeover of our political system.

Our political system has been failing basically my entire adult life. But, the media system provided accountability and sort of worked. Now it’s collapsing.
