During the 2021 freeze, Griddy made lots of headlines for charging customers thousands of $$ for electricity.

It agreed to forgive all unpaid bills in a settlement w/ the Texas AG. Those who paid could seek reimbursements.

Years later, customers haven't gotten back a dime. 🧵

Something to watch: A federal court order has, for years, banned the New Orleans sheriff from helping ICE.

Louisiana Republicans are now trying to lift that order to force NoLa to comply.

The outgoing sheriff fought that. The incoming sheriff told Bolts she'd be fine with the order lifting.
