Children don’t need 5-step skincare routines, and it’s disturbing that beauty brands have toddlers as a marketing target!

A great time to remind regulators that these companies need to show that their products and packaging are safe, all ingredients are disclosed, and false claims are investigated

The FBI has recently used polygraph tests to ask senior employees if they have said anything negative about FBI Director Kash Patel or had spoken to the media.

Separately, Patel granted waivers to Deputy Director Dan Bongino and two other staffers, exempting them from passing polygraph exams.

If Canada is looking around for projects of national interest, and increasing trade with the EU, maybe we could consider not letting the ag lobby justify spraying down our food exports with reputation-killing EU-restricted pesticides:

Other than that, great stuff
Exclusive by me: A quarter of the world’s population lives within three miles (5km) of operational fossil fuel projects, threatening the health of more than 2bn people as well as critical ecosystems, according to first-of-its-kind research.

Mark Carney is about to announce more of his “elbows up” major projects.

But under the surface, one that’s being sold as an Indigenous-led LNG project is actually — spoiler — American as hell.

That’s not even the worst part!

It’s also a real bummer that the coverage of the home insurance crisis doesn’t talk about the failures of policymaking that got us here; failures to:
-end the fossil fuel era so climate change doesn’t worsen
-adjust land use policy such that housing isn’t sited in the riskiest places,

Public systems and science take forever to build, and a thoughtless moment to destroy.

Remember this as our federal government slashes Environment Canada, cuts environmental regulations and abandons environmental and climate protection agendas for corporate abundance that rarely reaches us plebes
In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

Almost every one reinforced a common fossil fuel industry talking point—that climate change is exaggerated, that solutions don't work, and that fossil fuels = freedom
Bari Weiss vs. climate change
At The Free Press, Weiss consistently rebrands tired fossil fuel talking points as courageous, rebellious dissent.
