Remember the other day when I was saluting my friend Greg Ketter, owner of Minneapolis’ DreamHaven Books? This is him the following day. Greg will never say this, so I will — now is a great time to buy books from DreamHaven. Support Americans who stand up vs. 🧊. dreamhavenbooks.com

🚨 Breaking from the US Senator for Connecticut. 👇

There you have it.

ICE has never been about immigration enforcement.

It's a weapon used to brutalize Americans and stoke enough fear so that Trump can rig the elections and usher in dictatorship.

It is important to acknowledge who is standing up and who is just trying to get by. Every day Americans are standing up while the powerful are mostly standing by.

Why aren't law firms standing up and sending lawyers to Minneapolis. Why aren't the corporations speaking out? Why isn't the media?

Americans are realizing that unfettered federal power to detain and arrest is a very dangerous thing. I learned that lesson as a child when they put us into internment camps just for looking like the enemy. Don’t go further down this road.

America will blow up NATO, go to war with our European allies, become weaker, poorer and more isolated just because an old, dying vulgarian is angry he didn't get the Nobel Peace Prize he doesn't deserve and he wants a big piece of land that doesn't belong to him and Republicans refuse to act.

Yet another example of the idiocy of the Supreme Court’s immunity opinion: If Trump invades Greenland, even for the most insane reason (like not winning the Nobel Peace Prize) and against our obvious national interest, it’s an “official act” that can never be held legally accountable

Every time Trump breaks the clear letter of the law, the NYT and WaPo write a story about how he’s “pushing boundaries” or “testing the limits of his authority”

Tech Workers Are Condemning ICE Even as Their CEOs Stay Quiet
The killing of George Floyd in 2020 prompted a wave of statements from tech companies and CEOs. Today, pushback against ICE is largely coming from employees, not executives.

Ten years ago the idea that a president would punish a state...actually physically punish a state for not voting for him and having a governor who disagrees with him would have been unthinkable.

It is in no way “law enforcement” to beat up an American 10th grader and steal and sell his possessions.
This is 10th-grader Arnoldo Bazan.

A citizen.

Immigration agents grabbed him and put him in a chokehold.

"We're from the United States bro!' he screamed.

Agents took and sold his phone

And when he finally got home hours later, his shirt was ripped, he neck had angry, red welts, and he sobbed.
