Very late to the party but my most anticipated game for 2026 is actually not that far away.
Cairn‘s demo has gotten me really really excited to play the full game and I‘m so happy it releases so early in the year!

Hi. It's me. The resident Musou junkie. There is something magical about mowing down 1,000 enemies without breaking a a sweat. And now that Omega Force has proven themselves extremely capable with licenses, the sky's the limit.

So what I'm saying is... Star Wars Warriors? Yes? Please?

For me its probably has to be city builders (though cozy games come close). Something about the the multitasking, micro-manage-y gameplay loop really engages me. Highlights last year for me were Frostpunk 2, Ixion, and Against the Storm. #QuestionsWithCauseway

While I can't say I play EVERY title, I'm a huge fan of Survival Horror. In particular, I prefer when the genre gives you ways to fight back but requires you to manage resources and execute under pressure -- you can fight... just not everything 😏😱 #QuestionsWithCauseway #IndieGames

I've developed a deep love of stealth games (though I almost went with tactics games) that originated with Dishonored and my most recent entry was Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream. It's all a big puzzle that's very satisfying to solve, even more so if there are multiple solutions!

Mine HAS to be Slay the Spire 2.

The first one is probably one of my most played games and I honestly cannot wait for a brand new StS. I almost never jump into early access, but this will definitely be an exception.
It's Friday! And that means, it's time for another... #QuestionsWithCauseway!

Last week, we looked back at our favorite games of 2025. This week, our team is going to look ahead.

What's your most anticipated game of 2026? Our team will answer, and we'd love you to chime in, also! #IndieDev

There are a lot of games I'm excited for, but a standout is the Fable reboot! I grew up playing the series, so they hold a special spot in my heart. I'm excited to see what comes next and hoping that we get a fantastic world filled with the goofiness I remember. #QuestionsWithCauseway

The Haunting of Joni Evers is still 40% off (under $10!) until Monday!!

Need an emotional story about family and perspective? It's a wonderful weekend to play what the latest review said "was amazing, and the graphics and storyline were great."

I'm never good at choosing just one of ANYTHING, let alone games. So! My most anticipated games of 2026 are:

- Resident Evil Requiem
- Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy
- Slay the Spire 2 (although it's early access, so I MAY wait)
- Moonlight Peaks
- Arcane Eats

I've been excitedly awaiting @funselektor.bsky.social's over the hill ever since that first announcement trailer! Something about that cozy, cooperative vibe just feels right for me with everything going on. I can't wait to explore, adventure, and get out of sticky situations with my friends!

Hard to pick a MOST anticipated game for this year, but I think I'm going with Resident Evil: Requiem. I've loved Survival Horror and RE in particular since I was young. Ever since RE7, the series has been on an absolute heater, so I'm (heart)pumped for this one. #QuestionsWithCauseway

This is always a tough one!

With Total War: Warhammer 40K not yet confirmed for 2026, I'm going to pick the upcoming love child of Arkham and LEGO Batman.

I've loved watching LEGO games evolve over the past... oh no... 20+ years. So here's to LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight!

Under $10 is a steal for this super engrossing haunted house yarn. I love when a narrative-focused game expresses story through mechanics and Joni does that beautifully. It also just plain gave me a lot to think about as a person working through way-back family stuff in therapy. Highly recommend!

I think my GOTY has to be Ghost of Yōtei. Tsushima was such an unexpected joy for me, and I couldn't wait for the sequel. Ezo is just a meditative delight to explore -- the game has one of the best art directions I've seen in games -- freeflow combat is visceral and fun. #QuestionswithCauseway

Tough choice for me this year, but Silent Hill F is my GOTY!

I've always been a big fan of the SH series, and I think F was a breath of fresh air narratively and mechanically. I loved Hinako's journey every step of the way. Also, it is absolutely, horrifyingly, gorgeous. #QuestionswithCauseway

Not an easy choice, but my personal Game of the Year was Wanderstop (from @ivyroadgames.bsky.social).

Almost immediately I felt so personally called out by Alta: her journey, her self-reliance, and her stubborn work ethic (😅), and the way Boro was written to bring levity with guidance was 🧑🏻‍🍳🤌🏻

Blue Prince, no question. It came barging into my life at an unfathomably low moment last year and shook me out of the dark place.

I love that we're doing this!

With that said, I had a TOUGH time picking my GOTY. But thinking about which game is still sitting with me, it's gotta be Dispatch.

The Telltale formula works... IF you ship episodes on a regular cadence. This one hits hard! #QuestionswithCauseway
