Yes, ranked choice … I like that option too

Not quite. Voters had three candidates in the General in that election, and were able to rank the three in their preferred order.

While Adam Schiff did not donate directly to Steve Garvey, his campaign spent millions of dollars on ads that promoted Garvey during the 2024 California Senate primary.

She does know this. All CA dems know this. That's why we have "Democrats for Republicans" campaigns in the primaries.

San Diego, California

As the day folds, clouds settle into stillness. Reflections stretch across the harbor, holding the last light. Melodic waves echo through the quiet, carrying the grace of now. Let the evening hold you. Let the water sing you into rest.

For instance, most CA voters are registered Democrats...what if there was an election method that allowed all the Dem Senate candidates to run against each other in a General (when most of them vote) instead of Garvey against Schiff.

These electoral systems exist. (See Mary Peltola vs. Palin)

Even better, at the city/community level.

Come on San Diego ... build some BRTs, grade separated pedestrian/bike streets, and put the bollards back up in The Gaslamp.

Most importantly, "Top-Two Jungle primary" is a horribly anti-democratic electoral process.

In California? None. That's why Porter wants a Republican to win the primary....just like the Harlem Globetrotters want to play the Washington Generals.

It's my idea for a constitutional amendment. It also modifies the 2nd, the right to keep and bear arms (except men age 16-60).

I want my ballot to have a telling and meaningful Venn diagram between Porter and Becerra so Californians can have a fair shot at casting an informed vote.

She's very well known, X is not so prominent or charismatic.

A naked, extended campaign between them would be great.

(See the Schiff primary campaign for Steve Garvey...good for the campaign, not so good for the voters. Porter wants (They all want) a Republican to win the first round)

We need this dude in #SanDiego!

I was talking to someone on here awhile ago about this dude and figured this could bring some sunshine to the skyline

I'm pretty happy thinking the robots will make the roads safer than autonomous men aged 16-60 who have their horsepower and ego involved in their driving decisions.

With 22 full time employees devoted to graffiti abatement in Bruce Harrell's 2026 budget, that team would officially be twice as large as SDOT's Vision Zero team (11 people).
“One Seattle Graffiti Plan” - Citywide initiative for graffiti removal, including targeted enforcement
and assistance for impacted businesses, support for public art and volunteer clean-up efforts.
• The 2026 Proposed Budget adds $2.1 million and 6 FTE, bringing the total Citywide expenditures
for graffiti abetment to $6.1 million and 22 FTE.
• Proposed budget also includes transfer of existing staff and funding from SPU to SPR. Details will
be further discussed in the upcoming Seattle Parks and Recreation presentation.

I read a funny story of an app-abstainer who became obsessed with staying up to date on weather in various cities around the globe. Just a tap away!
That brain reward system of ours, am I right?

Knowing next to nothing of the various campaigns, early on I see a lot of value in either Katie or X as the next governor of California. Of course campaigns and supporters would hate it, but I think the state would greatly benefit from an election between these two.

Hey, this is great. Thanks for arranging this.
