I understand being worn by a pattern, though at a point it seems self-defeating.
SMTV took 3 years for its touch-up and was uniquely unfinished. At that point you're playing a whole new game, and it doesn't seem like you had a desire to be part of the conversation in the first place.

the whole "don't play the game, just watch a video on youtube that will explain its story to you" is so disheartening because the issue of accessibility is genuinely really important but it's always just people who want to be spoon-fed nicely quantifiable information

So, uh. The consensus that it spits out is not really a "consensus," but is representative of a hegemonic view of what an answer "should be."
Given the overrepresentation of the global north in the data it scrapes, this has DISASTROUS consequences for a variety of fields, especially the humanities.

That was not the issue. My point was, that AI usually spits out what the current consensus is on a particular topic. Based on data it has scraped from a lot of sources. And on average it does a rather nice job at that. I don't expect it to be 100% accurate, similar to other information sources.
