The Moeraki Boulders are large, spherical concretions on Koekohe Beach, New Zealand, that formed In seafloor sediment over 60 million years ago. According to Maori.legend, they are gourds. eel baskets, and kumara that washed ashore from the wrecked Araiteuru canoe.
