The Darkness' combat is about outsmarting your enemies and I love how the environment compliments that design. You have to turn off the lights to stand a chance but even then, the enemies are aggressive enough that you'll have to fall back and find other ways to take them down.

Fatal Frame and Killer7 have very similar combat systems and no I will not elaborate.

Mike Patton put his vocal talent from his work as a Nu-Metal vocalist to very good use in The Darkness. He put a LOT of effort into his performance as "The Darkness" creature and I can tell he had a lot of fun in the recording booth doing these voice lines.

The Darkness has this cool detail where you if you press the triggers ever so slightly and not all the way through, Jackie's finger moves just a bit and the guy's trigger pull doesn't fire a shot.
It's the little things that make you appreciate the effort put into these old games.
