One thing I don't like about the mystification/lionization of what it means to be an artist is that it conflates the fine arts which pretty much exist for their own sake with all the shit artists do which are like. Actual jobs. With a required skillset that's actually quantifiable.

I am in a small group of small artists and people who draw as a hobby and I have never felt more motivated in my life.

Biggest advice: do not prioritize or depend on sites that work against you. You will end up feeling like a failure because the algorithm decides to give you a boost one day and hide your post the next, and trying to figure out the rules of a game that is rigged against you will make you miserable.
