This type of website has existed on the dark web for years.

Could there be any downsides to hosting a website where people pay each other to do crimes?
I see no way this can go poorly

Boycott aside, this misunderstands the millennial shopper.

Please. Please. Don’t speak to me.
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more
As the holiday season fast approaches, Target is urging its employees to add a little more “jolly” to their work routine.

Mississippi wants you to scan your license to access BlueSky.

Meanwhile, in the UK you scan your face and it “estimates” your age.

I have one hour of work to do before I leave to go on vacation. I know I should do it today and leave my laptop at home.

But I am incapable. I know there’s no universe where I’m not furiously typing away in an airport tomorrow.

I have billed 2400 hours before. I’ve actually done it more than once.

It’s totally unsustainable even when the market is good. It’s a professional death sentence if the market is bad.

Maybe in big law you can focus on one, single matter that takes up that much time.
Yeesh, may this “path” never find me. A 2,400 hr year is basically billing 10 hours a day. That’s *billable* time: not all the time you’re at the office, or eating lunch, or in transit, or in slow periods bc of market downturns outside of your control. BILLABLE. TIME.

Sorry, life’s too damn short.

I can attest @matthewstiegler.bsky.social was tremendously helpful, just like @carlcecere.bsky.social has been in the past.
To echo what @rmfifthcircuit.bsky.social and others have said before, I always enjoy it when people reach out to me wanting to talk about starting an appellate practice. It's not an imposition, it's a chance to try to help others the way many generously helped me. I just got to do it again today.

The Fourth Circuit’s circuit mediator wants a mediation statement.

This was not part of the deal. No one told me that I would have to go back to drafting mediation statements.

So Bondi is obviously misrepresenting § 546.

But let’s not miss the fact that she fired the FAUSA, but that doesn’t seem to nullify her appointment, which is kind of a hilarious outcome.
