Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.

Abolish ICE
I was back at 26 Federal Plaza today, where an ICE agent violently threw this bereft woman to the ground in front of her kids. She had not touched him. She did not pose any threat. She had to be taken to the hospital. (🎥: Elias Eliahu)

I am no constitutional scholar, but I can't help but feel that "the President gets to dictate what every university can teach and what every television station should broadcast" is closer to what the founding fathers were worried about when it comes to free speech than trigger warnings on syllabi.

The fiscal conservatives in the GOP just added $4 trillion to the deficit to give the wealthiest people on earth a tax cut. The pro-family party just took healthcare away from 17 million Americans to give ICE a bigger budget than Brazil’s military. The single most inhumane bill ever passed.

How do they get away with this? The bill they passed cuts Medicaid by $793 BILLION.

$793 BILLION.

It's in the bill. They wrote it. Their own budget office says 10 million people will lose Medicaid coverage.

Just wild.
Mike Johnson brazenly lies: "We are not cutting Medicaid. The president has said that and I have said that. We're all said that. We're strengthening the program."

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.

On the contrary, the American people have shit memories. In just 4 years, they forgot what it was like having a moron reality game show host in the Oval Office.
For those unconditionally cheering the attacks on Iran, remember that our early strikes in Afghanistan and Iraq were “successful”. But we ended up getting dragged into costly wars that created more terrorists than we killed. The American people haven’t forgotten that.

Guy worth $340B spending $25M in WI is like the median American worker who makes $39,982/year spending $2.94.

Meaning—a $5 cup of coffee has a greater financial impact on a working American than $25M did on a maniac billionaire.

This is how democracies collapse.

Why is Trump waging a war on the Department of Education?

Because he knows that his biggest enemies are educators and younger generations of learners who are unafraid to speak truth to power.

Attacks on education are central to the fascist playbook.
