Please can you recommend news apps for iPhone that use dynamic text (that is, use the iPhone text size you have chosen on accessibility menu)? I have only currently found AP News (USA) and Metro News (UK). Metro does not report everything so looking for more content. Thank you .

The only way to avoid accessing AI unknowingly is to engage in real life. Go to the theatre. Go to music gigs. Go to poem recitals. I say this even as a deafblind person. Access DVDs, CDs, books, physical media of old. Talk to real people in real life.
AI can be the end of screen time. Let’s hope.

So what I’m learning here is that media have been photoshopping a dry crotch onto Neeson for years to protect his star status? His urine has been air brushed out of red carpets and paparazzi shots? And Neeson knew they would so he carried on regardless ? It’s a very strange world.
Liam Neeson did the narration for an anti vaxx pro RFK Jr. documentary. Attached pic unrelated.

I love Eurovision. But it has become pointless, ironically due to the points scoring system which has been manipulated for unpleasant reasons . I am glad Iceland have joined the other nations boycotting it. I hope @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social can address this issue and the BBC also boycott 2026

It is traditional for the star on the top of the tree to be wonky, right? Starts off well and gets more slipshod as December progresses

In my town today a man entered a woman’s vehicle without her permission, to drive it in a traffic jam. The woman, reporting this on FB has been widely admonished for not locking her doors. Not one person has advised that others should not enter another’s property without consent.

I got to see my foster momma and family after we passed recertification. I was fostered for the first year of my life to learn how to be a family dog.

This is my first momma. She’s a veteran as well.

Good morning! We’re all ready for the first day of our Christmas running event - Christmas food and cheer, and free bus rides linking us to Manchester City centre for the market. Buses in use today will be 1001, 612, 5871 and 11.

Indeed. They have worth or they do not have worth. By worth we mean to the nation and not one man.
the supreme court birthright citizenship case will not determine the answer to any constitutional question, but it will determine which justices do not meet the bar’s character and fitness requirements

I’m weighing in on Pantone Cloud Dancer .

The blurb says it’s balanced, neither being a blue stark white or a yellow cream white.
So it’s not magnolia and it’s not brilliant white.
I hadn’t heard of it before and I now I have. So well done Pantone on this low cost highly effective marketing!

I read the first chapter of Ulysses (James Joyce). I found the prose fine to read (especially after just completing A Tale of Two Cities which takes commitment in the first chapter).

But

I did not become invested enough in the characters to pursue to chapter 2.

Is this common?

Don’t make disabled people work for their access.
If you tout your commitment to equity and inclusion and then say “accessible options can be explored upon request” - that is neither accessible nor welcoming to disabled folks. Virtual/hybrid meeting options, abundant seating, and water access should all be easy, advertised, and already available.

I have completed A Tale of Two Cities having inexplicably not done so previously.

Absolute genius.

From the famous opening lines to the also famous closing lines I was hooked and mesmerised and stunned.

There is a direct contradiction between “we don’t want to accommodate disabled people to study or work” and “we don’t want to pay for disabled people to not study or not work”.

Which of it?

I was pushed out of the workplace e by refusal to accommodate me.
Also, lots and lots of thoughts on this as a deafblind professor who would not be able to thrive in a classroom as a student without accommodations
We need to be able to see that the line "accommodations have gone too far" is an expression of the ableist notion that disabled students do not belong in higher ed. Its fundamentally an anxiety about the fact that disabled students get an "advantage" over abled students.

Do you know what a wild, reckless thing I do as a vision impaired person?

I open any random door of my advent calendar and not the allotted number (cos I can’t see the numbers).

It’s very anarchic and I love it

The first seasonal play of my original Bing Crosby White Christmas vinyl album, passed down from grandparents to parents to me.
It literally fills the air with Christmas vibrations.

Given the emphasis on delivery - this document alone uses the word "deliver" 250 times - we should assume that this plan won't sit on the shelf and gather dust, it will be put into action straight away.
