I’ve been gaming since the NES/SNES-era. I’m a fan of RPGs and Nintendo in particular.
Some favorites:

DLSS is a fascinating idea. It could start working so well that even if you have the power to render natively, you wouldn’t need to.
It’s like when lossy audio got so perceptually good that the high majority of people heard no benefit when going lossless.

DLSS is a fascinating idea. It could start working so well that even if you have the power to render natively, you wouldn’t need to.

I spent the last week with a Legion Go S (Z2 Go, SteamOS model). I’m really torn on whether this is a replacement for the SteamDeck OLED or not.
The reviews basically say it’s faster than the SteamDeck but has worse battery life and louder fan noise. That’s true, but it’s more nuanced than that.

Final Fantasy VII: Remake on Switch 2 really does look good.
I toggled between my Switch 2 and PC HDMI inputs at the same spot in the game and, with the exception of the frame rate, it’s hard to tell much of a difference.

After beating Prime 4, I went back and played Prime 1 a little.
Two differences jumped out:
1. Levels are more room-based. A limitation of the GameCube, but it contributes greatly to the feel of the levels.
2. It strikes that creepy alien note much harder. Spooky, unexplained sounds, etc.

It’s a gorgeous, enjoyable Prime first-person adventure for the Switch 2 era.
The environments are beautiful and the boss battles are fun.
It does not have the complex yet satisfying labyrinthian levels of Prime 1/2 but is likely more approachable for new players.
