Jane and I went and spent a few minutes with Mom and Dad this morning. New headstone is in place and looks lovely. Miss them dearly and we are having a fun, amazing day in their honor. Picture is headstone. Just didn’t want to break anyone’s vibe.

Almost there, @sogrady.org. Just a few more days of this music. Our ears can then begin to heal.

Happy to say it is sunny and largely blue sky outside. Rivers are receding. Snow in the mountains. Let the cleanup begin. All of us in the area have lots of neighbors to go help out. Let's go!

Also if you are missing a trampoline, it is in our West pasture. Happy to help return it.

Are we sure @sogrady.org isn't coming to the Seattle area? Seriously Poseidon, mercy. White flag. Whatever you need, I'm here to sacrifice it.

It just won't stop around here. So many homes and businesses have been ruined in the last week. Currently dumping rain and high winds again as well.

It's completely secondary to the danger of others, but the region will approach gridlock soon as well with the major pathways closed for flooding.
A flash flood warning has been issued for a levee failure on the Green River near Tukwila

Evacuation info: This is for residents and businesses east of the Green River in the Orillia area in Tukwila, Renton and Kent. Due to breach in the Desimone Levee, this area is under a GO NOW evacuation notice

I’m again begging everyone to not create shame around taking medical and mental tests.

There are plenty of reasons to question and challenge the President and his health.

Early detection is the key to treatment and/or improving quality of life. Celebrate regular, recommended testing. Not shame.

Ugh, not treat but slow progression. My kingdom for an edit button.
I totally get the pile on Trump over the cognitive tests and MRI. Can I ask that we not shame people for tests?

“Haha look how many times he has to take them.”

We need people to take them. The only option right now is early diagnosis and medicines to treat and planning for support and family.

What a day. Our three little pigs have grown up and are headed to market. Never easy but had a wonderful life.

At the same time Ted the barn cat has returned after a six month adventure! We got a call someone found him across the valley 12 miles away. Much joy in our household.

THREAD.

3 years ago, with no warning, a brilliant orange farm cat wandered over from the draughty barn where he had been living, in rural Cornwall, and decided he wanted to live with us instead.

We decided to call him Jim.

This is the first photo I took of him, on that night: December 1st, 2022.

The outdoor “barn” cat seems to be spending a whole lot of time inside these days.

I think someone is angling for a promotion to house cat.

For the love of <deity>, why can I not search pharmacy inventory to find if a medicine is in stock? The PBM could be the entry point so that you can verify it is a legitimate request? I realize you don't want people just looking for random meds.

The system is so broken in so many ways.

Robot kids brought in a bunch of cake as a belated birthday, sympathy gift and to help “cheer me up.” This is something they did all on their own.

These damn kids made me lose my shit.

They knew I had to run out of the tournament on Saturday to be with mom at the end.

This morning I lost my hero. Dorothy Perry the single greatest woman I know. So many stories to share.

It’s been a hard last decade for her with dementia which is ironic given she spent the last half of her life innovating homes to help those on that terrible journey.

Most importantly she was mom
