Playing around with Jesmonite resin to varying degrees of success. It is certainly a learning process! It's so different from traditional resin. Overall I think I work too small for it.

Some concept doodling of trans angelic figures. They would be pen and ink, surrounded but wood cut gothic filigree.

Wolfish.
You know, I will happily take wolfish. I could use some of that energy.

I have to admit, I also always had kinda the wrong idea about Norman Rockwell until I saw the piece "Murder in Mississippi" as a teen in art history class

Doing a style test. I'm shaky today and haven't used a nib to ink in forever, but it felt nice. Also my masking fluid is old and I can't find my white pen... but I learned things!

More sharing, more connection. Drafts, WIPs, snippets, scenes… doesn’t matter if it’s not perfect (yet). What matters is that you wrote it, that you made your mark. And when you share it, you’re changing minds, building communities—the ultimate defense against slop-ification.

Was looking at maybe vending at a local* con, because I miss it a bit and it's a good deadline for me. Con is in August, spot filled up in November. Bajeezus. I know the scene had gotten crazy but really has edged out people who don't do it full time, huh?

This belongs here too!
Some times Wally just needs to feel pretty. Amusingly, I've been drawing a lot of pinup art lately for multiple reasons!

His books are something I reference (and bring in) frequently for students. Some of the best breakdown of effects. He lived such a creative life and that work will continue to live on.

If you can’t afford to print your zine, design your zine to be cheaper to print. If your motivation wanes halfway through a project then make your project 50% shorter. Don’t become so enamored with possibility that you lose sight of what is actually, wonderfully possible.

Saw a vintage piece made out of silver and ivory of a sardines can. Decided to make my own laser cut version! This is the test fit, and looking damn good!

She didn't get a full ref sheet, but Selene works with Conley! They have real sibling energy with each other, mostly Selene poking at Conley for reactions.

Anyways, this is my boy Conley!
