I've been saying in private that if the base had its way the 2028 DNC platform would be "we are going to fucking kill you" but I didn't expect anyone to actually run on it. I suspect this will be an important rhetorical experiment that guides how other candidates approach their messaging.

i really fucking hate the “roll the dice, see what happens” approach to workforce management that musk made very famous and so many other companies have adopted, it’s just grossly unprofessional, even if companies have been trending this way for some time

the other thing is that if you give people bad news but give them no way to practically respond to it they just tune out
100%. I honestly believe political leaders ask too little of people. The thinking is you need an extraordinarily low bar - so ask people for money or to sign something. People want to be part of something and they're eager to do real meaningful work in defense of their community and their rights.
I have begun to think that Minnesota pushback to ICE was unique and a model because it gave people something to do. It wasn’t about just going out in streets for rallying purposes. People had a mission: videos, whistles, information and communication flow to communities. They had something to do.
