They are running the government according to the logic of right-wing grievance media. I cannot emphasize that enough. The point is to create content, and they don't see an actual difference between dunking on Sabrina Carpenter, passing legislation, and bombing other countries.
I don't really know what the administration hopes to gain by picking fights with the most well-liked pop artists in the United States. You're just generating backlash for no discernible reason outside of owning the libs.

I was surprised to hear on the latest episode of @movieoubliette.bsky.social that "The Flight of Dragons" is known internationally (if at all) as a product of specifically American cinema, because I had never heard of it before they released their latest episode about it.

I had terrible luck with this on Twitter last year (inbox was immediately flooded with bots) but I'm hoping Bluesky might be better: does anyone have experience creating mock-ups for blu-ray cases? Like, if I provided all the core assets, could you take them and make a blu-ray cover for my shelf?

I want us to hang on to the fact that the people who were murdered were just civilians out in boats, most likely fishermen, who had never even heard the sketchy conclusions of American officials for which they were executed, much less had a chance to defend themselves.

The truth is, way too many journalists & content creators sat there and said nothing when SESTA-FOSTA passed, when OSA passed, when OF nearly lost porn due to paypros, even during this summer’s Collective Shout situation. A slow apocalypse for the free and open internet has been unfolding for years

Not sure what the point of "Dead Birds" is. It's a big pet peeve of mine when movies choose to depict the Confederacy, but for no particular reason. It deliberately evokes the horrors of slavery and yet has absolutely nothing to say about it (save to spare us from caring about most of the victims).
