I just feel that artists, authors, professors, teachers, and librarians are categorically on these watch lists because we like to read.

But yes. Watch what you post. And count the cost. "The days are evil."
Do not post shit that will get you on watch list
Do not sign up for protests- just go

We are collecting information on terminated SAMHSA grants at Grant Witness: grant-witness.us/submit-samhs...

If you worked on one of these programs, please let us know at the link! And please share with your colleagues. We need a comprehensive record of these terminations to fight back!
Last night with no warning, RFK Jr. cancelled up to $2 billion in funding for mental health and substance abuse research and programs administered through SAMHSA.

He and his minions did so because “they no longer believe the defunded programs align with the Trump administration's priorities”.

I’m old enough to remember people raising rabbits for pets or meat in Flint after GM left.

People are always amazed to hear that that was in the 90’s, as in 1990’s.

Wild times.

From the people that consider ketchup a vegetable.
Brooke Rollins: "We've run over 1,000 simulations. It can cost around $3 a meal for a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, corn tortilla, and one other thing. So there is a way to do this that actually will save the average American consumer money."

All medication should be free.

And I'm repeat that for Americans in the audience - ALL medication. If u come at me saying "what about..." the answer is ALL medication should be free.
My new medication is just north of $760 without insurance. It’s an anti-psychotic.

And some people wonder why anyone celebrates a CEO gets drilled between the eyes.

It’s really unsurprising at this point but this is truly, utterly deplorable.

We were just starting to see positive outcomes on addiction. These mutherfuckers pull the rug.

The case before the Supreme Court this morning is about far more than just sports.

"It has the potential to produce sweeping consequences—either aiding or devastating trans people’s ability to fight back in court when state laws and school rules discriminate against them."
Supreme Court battle over trans athletes is about so much more than sports
"It's just one part of a plan to push transgender people like me out of the public life entirely."

Research participants reported that barriers are not autistic traits, but environmental factors. Bullying. Lack of understanding. Sensory hostile environments with harsh lighting and noise. Forced masking that creates exhaustion and pain. Social rejection for being authentically autistic. Prejudice.
No, autistics do not “lack empathy”: “Where researchers had assumed impairment, they found autistic people applying moral principles more consistently—even to strangers, even when costly.” By Ludmila Pradlova.

What the World Got Wrong About Autistic People
For decades, autism research compared autistic people to animals, denied them moral sensitivity, and assumed autistic traits made them miserable. All wrong.

…and our education system set the foundation, as its sole focus for the better part of the last 50 years has been ‘compliance’ over ‘learning’…particularly for kids with disabilities.
Compliance as a thing itself venerated and enforced, often by uniformed men with guns.

Because universities made a deal with the devil in the 80’s which has allowed businesses to dictate curriculum.
The lack resistance to AI theft by academic associations and institutions is so disappointing. If we don’t raise the alarm- who will? Why are our unis passively accepting big tech propaganda instead of fighting for legislation to protect scholarship & truth?
somebody at UChicago is feeding preprints to LLMs without authors' consent, in a research study

they have the gall to suggest to authors they've opted-in that they volunteer to evaluate the LLMs' suggestions regarding their own work.

Dismissing any discussion of whiteness or refusing to engage in convos is textbook discomfort.

We would rather dismiss the idea than consider why we lack any capacity to talk it.

But sure, let’s say that’s not it. How then do you suggest that we discuss race and whiteness with white people?

This is deplorable.

This is intentional misinformation from the president of the united states, though he probably doesn’t even know it.
Trump: "Effective today, America will no longer require 72 'jabs' for our beautiful, healthy children. We are moving to a far more reasonable Schedule, where all children will only be recommended to receive Vaccinations for 11 of the most serious and dangerous diseases."

Every person responsible for the actions leading to the death of public media in the US should be forced to watch Mr. Fred Rogers’ 1969 Senate testimony on repeat for the rest of their lives, or until their heart “grows any sizes, at all”.

Whichever comes first.

I don’t like to throw around the term rape culture often for a variety of reasons, but this? THIS is rape culture.

It exists to intimidate women into minimizing their public prominence, which serves to strengthen male dominance in culture, society, and politics.
One example of how Grok is being used to target women. Swedish Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch being sexualised, degraded, and humiliated step-by-step by Grok. All the images accurately reflect the prompts provided.
