I’m here! I work in disability policy and am a disability studies PhD student. This account will be all things disability policy & research, pandemic mitigation measures, Long COVID/ME advocacy, reproductive justice, and more. And cats! Can’t forget cats.
For many disabled and chronically ill students, absence=discipline. Attendance justice asks: what would it look like to design attendance systems around real lives, not idealized ones?

I’m continuing to build work here & welcome conversation!
Over time, my work has increasingly centered on what I call attendance justice.

Attendance and truancy policies are often treated as neutral, but they govern students through paperwork, surveillance, and punishment, especially along lines of disability, race, and socioeconomic status.

Despite what the federal government says, eliminating vaccination data while gutting our vaccine infrastructure reduces transparency and public trust while harming our children. ⬇️

"It has the potential to produce sweeping consequences—either aiding or devastating trans people’s ability to fight back in court when state laws and school rules discriminate against them."

Armies move on their stomachs. The private sector is making ICE possible, at a rich profit. An organized boycott could turn that business move into a liability.
Want to Stop ICE? Go After Its Corporate Collaborators
ICE can’t function without help from the private sector. So we should force the private sector to stop helping.

This data exposes racial disparities in special ed—without it, inequities and violence are easier to ignore.

The Trump admin is dismantling the Dept. of Ed and planning to move special education oversight. Recent hires at the Dept. of Health & Human Services' Administration for Community Living (including former Office of Special Education & Rehabilitative Services leadership) suggest where this may land.

No ICE agents have been killed by immigrants.

Yet this year alone more than 30 immigrants have died in ICE custody.

At least two US citizens have been shot and killed by ICE (Keith Porter and Renee Good)

ICE is the threat, not immigrants.
Trump and his administration claim that ICE officers face tremendous danger while they're on patrol. However, the data tells an entirely different story.
How dangerous is it really to work for ICE?
According to ICE’s own data, none of its officers have been killed by an immigrant in the agency’s history.
