I love the mecha-heavy combat of this arc, and the general explodey animation and character designs. Admittingly, I like watching the original 1985 version over the remaster, especially for the more aggressive sound effects.

I'm a kinda diehard fan of the classic Robotech anime (and their Japanese originals as well) but hadn't read this trilogy. This seems like a logical continuation of my Starship Troopers kick.

The artwork in the first couple of games looks a bit anime-like to me already, probably part of the reason I loved it, being fresh off of Robotech/Macross.

I'm pretty sure that the epic and energetic music that the Romans had in MS-DOS Civilization was why I picked them most of the time. It's one of my favourite video game tunes.
