Radical liberal, world federalist, lesbian zoomer. Big fan of worldbuilding, alt-hist and shitposting (see rest of bio).

Palingenetic ultraglobalist. Pro-Palestine neocon. Girlcoded Italian futurist. I will glorify diversity: the world's only hygiene.

Olivia Nuzzi did more than violate journalistic ethics to help RFK Jr's campaign. She assisted an apostle of pestilence. In humanity's struggle against disease, fought since the beginning of history, she sided with the enemy. She betrayed the species. She betrayed us for her own gratification.

"I love the lower class so much that I think they should stay low"

This is the modern version of right-wing anticapitalism, in the vein of Carlyle. Pro-hierarchy, anti-modernist. Combating worker alienation by doubling down on tradition and reducing social mobility. It's like classical fascism.
there's a lot to unpack here Lord Glasman

Now this might sound like a reach, but this too is gender. Whether consciously or unconsciously, it is motivated by general contempt for a scholar-bureaucrat-professional class perceived as feminised because of the cooperative nature of the enterprise and more importantly, the large number of women.

The UAE is actually existing socialism

Fully automated: they have slavery, close enough
Luxury: yeah especially if you aren't a slave
Gay: look you can't have everything here
Space: they signed the Artemis Accords
Communism: according to conservatives communism is slavery so yeah

4/5, close enough

2028 debate spoilers:

"I understand the problem now. I'm the son of working-class Appalachians." Vance said. "You're a billionaire from old money. We have nothing in common."

"Perhaps we do."

"What?"

"We are," responded Pritzker, "both traitors to our class."

Liberalism is a religion and I support theocracy in its name. May the spirit of freedom bless the Liberal Republic of America and the committed men, women and enbies of its wise Guardian Council.

The GOP factional conflict on Twitter is actually just the latest front in the India-Pakistan conflict. The pro-Israel Republican content farms are from India, while the Groypers operate out of Pakistan. Russia is supporting both sides. This is how we know America really is a third world country now

Someone's going to write the next chapter of American liberalism. The question is who. Do we want MattY writing the 2028 platform? God willing, Liberal Currents will supplant Slow Boring as the most influential publication for Democratic staffers. I'm very happy I'm getting to write for them

Folks, Zohran Mamdani—smart guy, reminds me of a young me—you know what he said, I told him, “Zohran, I’m gonna do it, I’m gonna say the shahada,” and he said to me “Mr. President, you should say a third line confirming your belief in the wilayat of Ali,” should we do it folks? Should we say it?

World War II was actually fascist infighting. The Axis? Fascist. The USSR? Red fascist. China? An attempt to do fascism without state capacity. The UK and France? Imperialism is fascism turned outward on the periphery. The US? The New Deal was fascist (I still support it)

The thing about resistance along self-interested elites is that in the absence of virtue, it's a matter of them weighing the likelihood that others will join them against the likelihood of retaliation. We want to raise their perception of the former while decreasing their perception of the latter.

Thinking about how being both a cosmopolitan internationalist (no moral distinction between the domestic and the foreign) and something of a liberal interventionist (fascists are the enemy and can be attacked) has given me a bit of a woke Schmittian outlook regarding MAGA

UK social democracy is found not in Labourism, but in Toryism. Liz Truss worked hard to destroy the monarchy and stock market, and represents the democratic socialist wing of the party. Someone like Rishi Sunak, who reversed her excesses, can be likened to Deng, but in a democratic context.

Foreign policy sometimes requires making unethical decisions for the greater good. We might not have many values in common with regimes like Denmark, but their brand of fascism is better than Russia's, and so we have no choice but to work with them.

imo if you think chaos at the border is bad for your party you should think a couple of moves ahead about something that has the potential to produce the largest refugee crisis in human history
If there’s no shale gas then there’s no shale gas, but I still think environmentalism is basically bad and politicians should focus more on material prosperity.
