I was just thinking that it isn’t fair that there is a Lincoln Center and a Kennedy Center but no Garfield Center or McKinley Center. But then I looked, and I was wrong: there is a Garfield Center for the Arts. It’s in Maryland.
To be clear, it is really fucking hard. That said, you wouldn’t have to do it at every polling place, more like 20 or 30 key polls each in a dozen or so targeted districts, and the parties know which those are just as a part of the regular business of politics. But still would be a big lift.

Further: the legislation abolishing ICE and CBP must recognize that they acted as enemies of the United States and the Constitution in violation of their oaths and every ICE or CBP officer is disqualified from ever holding any federal position ever again under the 14th amendment.
Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

It really bothers me that the entire political class seems unable to believe that Americans have the capacity to care about human rights, or human dignity, or constitutional government. They all seem convinced that the only thing Joe and Jane America cares about is consumer prices.
