American persimmon
(Diospyros virginiana)

The anglicized word "Persimmon" derives from Algonquin dialects: putchamin, pasiminan, or pessamin, which all means dried fruit - since the nutritious dried Persimmon is a valuable winter food source.

Release the hostages
The Department of Homeland Security is refusing to release information on 3 detained Oglala Lakota tribal members who are being held at Fort Snelling, a former concentration camp for Native people, unless the tribe enters into an immigration agreement with ICE.

If you haven’t tried honey from the locust, you should! It’s got a nice vanilla honey flavor. Delicious but can be a lil hard to eat since there’s not much fruit to it. The beans are edible too! Such a cool tree that too many people overlook

Dayton Funk

A lot of ppl don’t know Roger helped house his community by building and rehabilitating hundreds of housing units, covering down payments, making home ownership possible for low-income residents of Dayton

Giving back like Ohio Players did teaching Dayton high schools music programs
Happy 40th Anniversary to this jam 🔥

Update: The first is coming up fast and really need to get our ko-fi goal fully funded, especially with SNAP being suspended due to the gov. shutdown. It's going to be a rough month for so many folks already in a rough spot. Help who and how you can, even if just a share.

You can also do this anonymously. I dont always know my neighbors. I leave them things at their door anonymously

You can create a QR code to a Google Form saying “hey neighbor, times are hard! Select from this list what would help you most and we can drop it at your door”
Build a community nook for the block. Necessities that ppl need.
can goods, pads and tampons, books, old clothes.

This is action. Start small, start somewhere but start.
If you have a safe home, offer it up as a meeting place for organizing.

If you have a car, offer to take people to doctors appointments

Form a giving circle for bailouts of your people or groceries and medicine for your people!

Stop being so individualistic but expecting MASS ACTION

New Albany quite literally the wealthiest suburb of Columbus. Created by and home of Lex Wexner the local billionaire that Ohio State Hospital is named in honor of. Who was also a close friend of Epstein. I’d imagine he’s not happy with seeing this. 🖕🏾
About 400-500 at New Albany’s.

This is something a lot of white people don't get about segregation...the GI bill did not apply to anyone not white until legislation passed for it much later.
My Grandfather fought in WW2. While the GI Bill lifted an entire generation of White vets, he was unable to obtain a GI Home Loan or a college education. Racial discrimination was legal in banking and education...and there weren't enough Black colleges to serve the demand. Reparations are due

I wrote they’d do exactly this in a newsletter last week and I don’t know why this wasn’t bleedingly obvious to everyone with sense.
My gosh. After the US bombed multiple boats in the middle of the ocean, murdering people on grounds that they were allegedly "carrying drugs," the US Attorney General says "Just like we did with cartels, we're going to take the same approach, President Trump, with Antifa."
