I look forward to Wood’s lecture series on sinking men’s and women’s basketball at #ODU into complete irrelevance during his tenure as athletic director.
Old Dominion AD Wood Selig will retire at the end of the calendar year after 16 seasons leading the Monarchs, and 27 as an AD overall.

Selig will become the Kaufman Lecturer of Sport Management within ODU’s graduate sport management program.

That awkward moment when you have to walk by a neighbor’s open door at 1 AM to take your dogs to piss in the cold and the neighbor is standing there because he burned some sort of terrible food so badly you can smell it from two floors up.

For The Ringer, I wrote about how amazing it was that the brilliant Catherine O'Hara finally became a superstar in her 60s, and how sad it is that she was taken from us just when we had all finally begun to appreciate her:
Catherine O’Hara Could Do Anything
And she pretty much did everything. The only tragedy is that it feels like she was just beginning to get the recognition her decades-long career always deserved.

I don’t even care about the winter games and I still know this is fucking insane.
According to an internal email to Washington Post sports staff, the paper isn't sending any reporters to cover the winter Olympics next month. The decision comes as major layoffs are expected in the coming weeks.
