Thanks to New Zealanders here who gave me insights🙏 Dame Jacinda, Sir Ashley & Dame Juliet were 🤩
I have the opportunity next week to moderate a discussion with Rt Hon. Dame Jacinda Ardern - former PM of New Zealand. It’s about about pandemic preparedness. What are you curious about from her experience? NZ had one of the most effective public health responses early in the COVID pandemic.

NZ Govt: We’re going to protect women in sports

Women: Awesome! You’ll do more to protect women from sexually abusive male coaches?

NZG: Ah, no

Women: Equal pay for sportswomen?

NZG: Haha no

Women: Funding better facilities?

NZG: You’re not gonna believe this, but also no

I don’t know any trans people that play competitive sports, but I know plenty of people who will hear, as intended, the hateful message that they don’t belong in everyday life. Fuck these people trying to boost themselves up by finding a small group of people to vilify.

Not ONE.

We were promised a wave of men invading women’s spaces, record numbers of rape, women too scared to leave home.
