My biggest fear when visiting a foreign country is that after a day of wandering I'll happen upon a little museum of me. Shuffling along with other tourists through rooms of my discarded effects and lost memories, unable to translate the labels. Learning nothing about myself.

So geeked to hold this gem by @tomgauld.bsky.social in my hands! While I’ve read most of these in @newscientist.com great to have them in one sharp book! I’m particularly fond of the ones where he plays with comics conceptually, but all of them are brilliant & funny, he never misses! Good stuff!

I had a whole host of complicated feelings about a situation that was work related and I took the time to write an Earnest and Thoughtful Letter about them to a relevant person
and I received an Earnest and Thoughtful Response, which lightened me considerably

my dog is the ultimate scaredy-pup, and unfailingly cowers at the side of the trail seeing any dog, large or small
but I think bc he’s buff & handsome no one interprets his behavior that way. everyone says “taking a rest, huh?” or they think he’s very polite! or aggressive & preparing to pounce
