The repetition is very nice but the 'll is an extra step on top to my mind and just strays over the line for me. I'd say damn sneaky not a touch. Nice clue though and no doubt about it once solved. I'd enjoy it in barred puzzle but frown at it in a standard I think.
Agreed a small step away but over a line perhaps? Also hope your clue read partially otherwise ugh! It might be fairer if each part that's hidden had its own def too. so along the lines of
X from fodder with Y in fodder creating XY where x,y and XY are synonyms of course.
