America's Sleeping Giant roared when police attacked civil rights marchers.

And when Nixon tried to cover up Watergate.

Today it roars in Minneapolis and around the country — at the jack-booted thugs occupying our cities.

ICE is now claiming it can arrest people without a warrant.

This comes after another internal memo asserting ICE agents can forcibly enter homes without a judicial warrant.

Hello? Democrats cannot let these blatantly unconstitutional actions continue. Not another penny for ICE.

February is a time to honor the generations of Black Americans who fought, and continue to fight, against injustice to achieve equal rights.

May we reflect on our nation’s past as we continue working to build a society that lives up to its democratic ideals.

Luckily, 5-year-old Liam Ramos and his father (both asylum seekers) are headed back to Minnesota after a federal judge ordered their release yesterday.

I get tired of saying it, but I’ll say it again: the nature of oppression in America is that they workshop it first on Black, Latino, Asian & Native people.

But it is always, in the end, coming for everyone.

Let's speak plainly.

In a legitimate criminal cases, political appointees don't have to first hollow out U.S. Attorney offices of objecting career prosecutors with integrity; federal judges don't kill the cases at the cradle, and the government doesn't fight tooth and nail to revive them.
