It just occurred to me that I don't know the last name of the English Royal family. Everyone refers to them by their first names & titles only.

Unless it's Of Windsor. That would kind of make sense. Kind of like de Jesus means Of Jesus. It's just odd to hear an English name with this structure.

I reported on the MN woman who lost her Global Entry status as a result of legally observing ICE/CBP in suburban Minneapolis. (several days before the NYT did - AHEM)

I spoke to another woman who had a similar thing happen today.

More coming in tomorrow's newsletter.
I talked with the Minnesota legal observer whose Global Entry status’s was revoked three days after a confrontation with a CBP agent. Here’s what she wants you to know.
How CBP revoked one Minnesota woman's Global Entry status

If you're a streamer who doesn't know about politics, that's because you chose not to know. You chose not to pay attention because the politics that are happening right now don't affect you & you don't care about them. You're privileged & lack sympathy.

Being apolitical is still a political stance.

So many people just do not understand exactly how rich these fucking people are. We have been brainwashed by the media to think billionaires/trillionaires have the same issues as us. They see a loss of $2mil & think that's bad, when the reality is that it would be like one of us dropping a quarter.
Jeff Bezos’s wealth has increased an average of $70 million every day of 2026, meaning that he could have offset The Post’s losses with what he’s made since Monday.

If Jeff Bezos could afford to spend $75 million on the Melania movie & $500 million for a yacht to sail off to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring, please don't tell me he needed to fire one-third of the Washington Post staff.

Democracy dies in oligarchy.

Jeffrey Bezos is destroying the Washington Post for the same reason Musk destroyed Twitter and Ellison is destroying CBS—oligarchs oppose the free press when if it threatens their wealth and power.

They don’t want normal people to see what is happening in America.

3-letter agencies have tried a number of ways to "brainwash" people & the best methods found involved indoctrinating children w/ propaganda while also simultaneously traumatizing them.

When you understand that, the reason the right cares so much about schools but not school shootings becomes clear.

"Democracy Dies In Darkness"

WaPo knows this more than anyone, which is why the Oligarchs want it shut down.

I would also like to point out, "Fascism Dies In Darkness" too.

It would be a great benefit to the world if we stopped platforming extremists.

This may annoy some, but I wanted to point out that Marvel films, & superheroes in general, are conservative archetypes taking the law into their own hands as a remedy for supposedly inept or corrupt government. In fact, most action movies are conservative wish fulfillment.

At what point in our country's history has it been legal for officer's of the law to forcefully arrest people without identifying themselves?

HP announced up to 6,000 layoffs in November. Its CEO made $21M.

You can test new tech ideas using the Seinfeld Test

Would the product eliminate the plot of an episode? (Google maps, cell phones, paypal, battery packs)

Good tech.

Would the product inspire new Seinfeld plots? (NFTs, AI chatbots, crypto currency, blindboxes, metaverse land sales)

Bad tech.

If we are going to allow the President to serve as the Commander In Chief, he should also be subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice, which is separate of civilian laws. Any General should have the authority to arrest him. Why are they not doing so?

Great example of #ConservativeMediaBias. If actual lawmakers are murdered, it's a light news day. If an internet meme monkey like Churly Kuck is murdered, it's big news.
The 2025 shootings of Minnesota legislators were treated far too lightly. Media and the public moved on too fast without grasping the seriousness of assassination. These are life and death issues, not just differences of opinion the USA is working out. The reactionary right is ready to kill.
