This experience is way too close to home. It is worth keeping close tabs on blood pressure when pregnant and knowing that swelling of fingers and in the face should not be dismissed as "normal for a summer pregnancy" without checking. Partners should have this on their radar as well.
Today is #WorldPrematurityDay. We are sharing Missy Ellison's story with #prematurity with her daughter due to #preeclampsia

"I nearly lost my life to preeclampsia in 2019. My daughter was born at 30 weeks 3 days"

Sorry @erictopol.bsky.social it doesn't. All participants were normal coffee drinkers. Therefore, the coffee-drinker arm is the Control arm. The intervention of going cold turkey increased the hazard of AF by 64% (100/0.61). The whole report is written from the wrong perspective.

this goes right along with my theory that the AI obsession in *users* is often bc…

1. they were never educated (esp "ipad generation") & don't know how computers work

2. our tools and services are all SO AWFUL NOW, degraded at best, actively user-hostile at worst

Much was written & cited this past week on the Watson & Crick DNA paper-- which was a race-to-first, rather than an isolated insight.

Who has made discoveries that have pushed science, technology, or medicine forward faster? Einstein, Curie, Nakamura, McClintock, Salk, Borlaug, etc.

Who else?

well, I'm biased... but i think absolutely! 😂

WAY more things in the database (like 1000s more). more FPs, dyes, filters from all providers. (The thermo viewer is primarily their own products). share/restore/download state.

plus, it's open source, non-commercial, and accepts contribs

try it? 👍

The FPbase spectra viewer just had it's biggest software refactor in 6 years. It *should* be largely invisible to the end user (hopefully just faster and less buggy). Please let me know if you find any issues as you use it!
