They already air transport people to the big city through most of our state, rural hospitals can handle little things but depending on the case, they might stablize you and get transport, or just send a helicopter directly out for anything major. It's been like that for decades.
Did you know that when your local rural hospital shuts down because of the Medicaid cuts, the 75-mile drive to the nearest one that isn't shut down is still 75 miles no matter how good your insurance is?

Found my original red cross blood donor card from 2000 - has my name, SSN, and DOB all printed right on the front. 🫠 Gods, shit was wild back then. I remember lockheed migrating everyone from using their SSN as their employee ID to actual employee IDs somewhere around 02? 03? Those were the days.

Health insurance at work changed this year, and we have to use amazon pharmacy for mail order service. A 1 month supply of one of my meds is $50 at my local pharmacy, a 3 month supply through amazon pharmacy is... $238. Cost savings? Convenience? WTH?
