Dad, borderline minimalist, deeply unfashionable, a rare commodity, sneaky strong. Cambridge, MA, walk/bike program manager. Comments are mine.
Very proud of this report and thankful for all of my colleagues who helped analyze the data and shape the document! Most of all, thankful to be part of this incredible team building a more bikeable Cambridge. I’m the lucky guy who gets to brag about the positive impact of their work!

Boston did not clear snow from the bike lanes after the storm two weeks ago, so our community came together to do so. "We just want to get home safe and alive!" @bikeboston.bsky.social @streets.boston.gov @mayorwu.boston.gov @universalhub.com @wcvb5.bsky.social @mass.streetsblog.org

Seeing an empty buffer and a full bike lane of snow is like a Looney Tuned gag where paramedics ignore the victim after rushing out with the stretcher.

People work hard to at least get us this far and I thank them. But in Boston the overall response for walking and biking has been poor. A week out, so many intersections impassible. I’ve seen one bike lane plowed on my routes. Very disappointing from this admin, who has flipped hard on biking. 🤷‍♂️
Maybe with the next storm, #Boston can concentrate just a tad more on crosswalks in what is allegedly America's most walkable city

Thank you, @ridebluebikes.bsky.social for digging out and keeping bikeshare accessible! All stations in Cambridge have been dug out and any remaining stations in the region should be cleared today. Sidewalks and paths leading to stations could still be difficult, so please be careful!

Thank you to the stellar @cambridgemass.bsky.social DPW for keeping everyone moving! Streets and bike lanes are pretty clear in Cambridge, with lingering snow piles at corners to be cleared in time. Remember to go slow, be forgiving, and look out for another!

If you’re able, clear a bus stop. Our T operators keep us running and they’re very appreciative. Plus it’s a great way to connect with and inspire your neighbors.

Like a lot of cities it still has a long way to go but Boston is building some very nice bike infrastructure.

Almost half the Waymos on California streets are driving around empty. They're either waiting for the next customer or en route for a pickup.

If robotaxis scale, anything close to that level of deadheading would create crushing gridlock.

Had a pretty frustrating experience. What started out as a polite conversation with a contractor blocking a bike lane turned to swearing and name calling (not by me). He was right next to ample, available loading space.
