Headline on The World at One just now:

"Sir Keir Starmer has denied putting the Labour Party before the country by ending the two-child benefit cap".

Can we please go back to reporting the actual news, not someone's partisan take on it?

Weird that the Budget is so "back-loaded", with very few tax rises next year, and then massive effects from the threshold freeze in 2030

Why?

A solicitor, Andrew Milne has been bullying leaseholders across Sheffield into paying him extraordinary sums, with no legal basis.

Why hasn't the SRA stopped him? Because he's conducted an extraordinary campaign against the SRA. 180 complaints. Two judicial reviews.

The Telegraph has just published *yet another* correction to one of its net-zero articles.

By my count, that is now the TWELFTH such correction since Labour won the election (and covers 15 separate articles).

I have now added the latest one to my epic thread which is tracking these corrections...
"We are happy to correct the record."

That tells you a LOT about these newspapers - and the £££ available to Farage

Lucy White advocates a ban on "non-natives" from office, citing Rishi Sunak and Priti Patel.

So she is referring to UK-born ethnic minority citizens. (Her argument would apply equally to Shabana Mahmood, Kemi Badenoch, Suella Braverman and others)

Lucy White continues to be a GB News regular

I know who Nus Ghani MP is - not because we always agree - but because she’s been serving her constituency (as well as lewks) since 2015.

Who the hell is Lucy White?!

Ah, a quick google search reveals her as a rentagob for GB ‘news.’

I know which one is qualified to chair the budget debate.

2016 happened. Russia did support Trump’s campaign. Good reporters were on it at the time. I wrote it up within the larger context of global oligarchy and neo-fascism in "Road to Unfreedom."
9 years ago,House Speaker Paul Ryan, and Speaker to be Kevin McCarthy had a recorded conversation in which McCarthy says, "There are two people that I think Putin pays, (Representative Dana) Rohrbacher and Trump. Swear to God."

On Sky Politics Hub, the whole budget was framed as if somehow the most consequential thing was the OBR accidentally publishing figures an hour early. There are 50 things in there more salient to viewers. I see no way to justify it editorially, other than to construct a hostile narrative. Poor.
