it’s wild that a party that owns three beaches of government and gave $billions to argentina would say that it has no power or money to fund SNAP.

I think Hakeem should tell Mike Johnson, “you were right. You’re not in charge. Now move over and hand me the gavel. SNAP is funded.”

This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

We must get big money out of politics.

It is the root of our dysfunction.

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 85th day out of the last 97.

12 days of work in over 3 months.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

“a lot of people recommended him” might be an ok reason to try a new restaurant, but it shouldn’t be the reason why someone commuted someone else’s sentence when the someone else was found guilty in a court of law.

That Donald Trump thinks the Supreme Court would decide a case based on a political speech by Ronald Reagan—instead of the law—is an admission that he knows the current, corrupt Court is a practitioner of politics, not a protector of laws.

Republicans just shut down the government to rip away healthcare and hand Trump another blank check for his illegal power grab. Instead of negotiating a budget that protects families, Republicans chose to throw working families under the bus. This is the GOP’s shutdown & they own the damage from it.

Trump at the UN:

"I look at London where you have a terrible mayor... Now they want to go to Sharia law."

This is entirely false. London Mayor Sadiq Khan is politically moderate and has never ever called for Sharia law.

This is Islamophobic propaganda and a bigoted attack on Khan.

Any funding deal that continues GOP healthcare cuts or hands Trump a blank check must not pass. Democrats have real leverage in this fight, and the Republicans who control both chambers are the ones responsible for passing a bipartisan funding bill. Make sure your senators hear from you today.
