This reminds me of my dream anthology project, where I find out who every DC creative’s least favorite character is and make them do a story about them. It’s called DC COMICS RESENTS
If anyone from DC Comics is reading this post--I think Terry Long's one of the worst characters in comic book history, but I'm ready to pitch a mini-series or one-shot that really leans into that and makes him a fan favorite. Give me a call!

Think the actual answer is Peck should have been portrayed as being with the NYS DEC and they should have had the governor not the mayor be the one to free the Ghostbusters but I guess Ivan Reitman not a big enough state government need to see it.

Saw another post discussing this and it reminded me of what bothers me the most about this character: If Peck is with the EPA, a federal agency, why are the Ghostbusters in city jail at all, shouldn’t they have been held in a federal facility? How could the Mayor get them out?
I think an instructive example is a villain who was never intended to be sympathetic at all, but who has become so *precisely because* the culture has shifted: EPA agent Walter Peck in "Ghostbusters."

Yes, but also I know I personally will remember this image for a long time so perhaps by timeless he meant “a singular horror, fixed in memory until death”, which isn’t exactly the right use of the word but does fit this shower.

Not trying to brag but I stopped exposing my brain to cable news right around when the second plane hit in 2001. The levels of propaganda and sensationalism were too much for me to handle and I’ve just never gone back.
I haven’t watched even a second of CNN since Election Day. I don’t miss it at all. Not one bit.

Anyone else out there like me?

The biggest thing we need to do is let people know that the protests are FUN. Yelling fuck the man is fun. You will meet fun people.

We also need to make them more fun. Bring grills like the French. Bring instruments like it’s Mardi Gras. Give people a reason to spend their weekend in the streets.

Wow so AI is once again garbage and not useful at all? What a shock, truly. This isn’t even occasionally funny like the inaccurate Apple message summaries, just sad.

if you find yourself reluctant to support the guy at Columbia because you find some of the politics he espoused distasteful or even abhorrent, you should know that this is exactly the reaction that they hoped for in choosing him as a target for unlawful detention based on political speech.
